Lodg eCrest

During the Covid-19 pandemic the Lodge has supported the residents and staff of two local care homes, Catmoor House Care Home in Scoon and Balhousie North Inch Care home in Perth.

The Master of the lodge presented a cheque for £250 to Catmoor House Care Home. The donation will go to the purchase of a gazebo which will, at the right time, allow the residents to receive their visitors in the garden of the home, thus enabling visiting to start sooner whilst indoor visiting is still not allowed.

The Lodge Acting Almoner presented a cheque for £250 to Balhousie North Inch Care Home's comfort fund for residents. The money will be used to buy activity equipment for the residents to help make their time during lock down without visitors less tedious.

The Master and the Acting Almoner delivered fresh picked strawberries to to Catmore House and Balhousie North Inch Care Home respectively. The Strawberries were donated by a farmer  in The Carse of Gowrie, near Perth. The generosity of the farmer meant that staff and residents alike enjoyed this delicious locally grown produce.

The Master and Brethren showed their support and admiration of the staff of the two care homes, who have worked hard to keep the homes free of Covid-19, with the delivery of a takeaway meal to be enjoyed at the end of their days work. Two Chihuahua’s Gringo Bar and Restaurant supplied a tasty takeaway meal of pizzas, baked potatoes, ciabattas and salad to the staff of Catmoor House Care Home Perth and to the staff of Balhousie North Inch Care Home a take away meal of Gringo burritos, chips and dips. The Brethren of the lodge congratulate the staff of both care homes on their hard work and dedication in keeping the homes free from Covid-19. Thanks must go to our member Brother Frank Burger-Seed who is the restaurant owner and all his staff for their greatly appreciated support.
